After an awesome debut at the Spike VGX just over a month ago, No Man’s Sky developer Hello Games is having a bit of trouble.

The U.K.-based developer’s Guildford office flooded this week after a storm rolled through the country, destroying much of their equipment in the process. As it was Christmas, it doesn’t sound like anyone was in the office. The team took to Twitter to keep people updated:

The biggest question is, will this affect the small studio and the release of their game, No Man’s Sky? As a studio of less than 10 people, there’s a greater chance for it to adversely affect the game and team both. If the team has taken the proper steps of backing things up off-site and insuring their equipment, it might be just a slowdown for a few weeks. The team hasn’t specified just how much they lost.

Aside from the Joe Danger series being great, the amount of buzz the No Man’s Sky trailer generated has ensured that the studio is going to be on the gaming radar for a while. Hopefully the team will release more information about how far back things are so that we can temper our excitement appropriately.

At the very least, the group is in good spirits. Their No Man’s Sky twitter account tweeted:

Good luck to the team.
